All of the goals are clear, but what about the purpose?
It was from this question that we began to wonder how we can create resiliency within systems through open dialogue, and creative and brave action starting with the individual and move to the collective purpose.
We created the Shaper method as a tool to be used by the municipality when planning, facilitating, and reflecting on workshops with residents.
We created a method that can help you as a city official, designer, project manager, or anyone working in collaboration to develop more meaningful ways of engagement with stakeholders.
This method prioritizes intentionality, in a welcoming space and starting open dialogues through the use of universally approachable materials. By connecting to the tangible and materialized, larger, more complex topics can be addressed, and an actionable path forward can be established.
